Zoning Information

The Town of Spindale Zoning Ordinance was adopted in 2012 and most recently amended in 2014. The Zoning Ordinance includes detailed information on the specific regulations of zoning districts, various zoning processes, the composition of the Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment, and more. The Town is currently in the process of considering a new ordinance. Check back periodically for updates.

Starting A Business?

Any building greater than 99 square feet requires a zoning permit.  

This includes but is not limited to: Barns, garages, carports, utility buildings, gazebos, etc. built on site or pre-manufactured and set up.  Structures larger that 99 square feet sometimes require building permits.  Please contact the Planning and Zoning Administrator for additional information.
