         Commissioner Francis is a proud Carver High School and Isothermal Community College graduate. She holds an Associate of Arts degree in Social Work, a cosmetology license, and is an ordained minister. Commissioner Francis’ interest in church work has led to a lifelong commitment to ministry. She is a graduate of The Bishop School of Ministry, is a seasoned Sunday school and Bible study teacher, and has been called to serve as a pastor.

         Driven by her belief in this community, Commissioner Francis sought election to the Town Council in 2019. She has served faithfully since that time, working hard to increase citizen engagement with the Town, contributing to the NAACP of Rutherford County, and serving as the 2nd Vice President for the Freedom Fund Committee.

         Commissioner Francis is an extremely proud mother of three, two sons (Gerry Francis, Jr., and Marlon Francis) and a daughter (Rita Landrum). She is also a member of Harvest House Baptist Church, where she dedicates much of her time and efforts.
